Participate in some fun activities and friendly competition with your peers as you work your way up the Leaderboard. Share your experience on social media to show how you are achieving your Wellness goals!

By signing up and participating in this challenge, you can also help raise money for the World Central Kitchen which uses the power of food to heal communities and strengthen economies through times of crisis and beyond.


The AAJ Move Challenge sponsored by Forge Consulting starts on Thursday, January 28, at 12:01 a.m. ET and ends on Thursday, February 11 at 11:59 p.m. ET.  Participants can track their steps using their own personal Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, or the step trackers integrated on their iPhone/Android smartphone via Apple Health or Google Fit. *

To join:
1) Download the "AAJ Move Challenge" app:
2) Launch the Challenge app and Complete the registration, user profile and pairing process:​
  • Register: Enter your Email, Name, and Password
  • User Profile: Enter a Nick Name and choose an AAJ Team (optional) with which to pool your steps: AAJ Minority Caucus, AAJ New Lawyers Division, AAJ LGBT Caucus, AAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus, AAJ Trial Lawyers Care. (To decline, select No Team.)
  • Pair your supported activity tracker (see the Challenge FAQ Webpage for details)
3) Start Stepping!
  • To sync your step/activity data to the app, select "Tap to sync steps" at the top of the Summary
  • Note that your steps will only count from the time you first pair your activity tracker
  • Please sync your step data at least one time per 24 hour period and before the Challenge end time to make sure all your steps count!

AAJ Move


Engage in multiple Wellness Activities to earn bonus steps and help you you achieve your goals. Once the Challenge has started, press the 'Bonus Activities' selector ** in the Challenge App to:​

Scan-InEarn bonus steps by scanning in QR codes at the following locations

Meditation: Put on your headset, find a quiet location that suits you, and listen to the 7 minute Body Scan session. Listen daily and receive 500 bonus steps (limit of one bonus per day).

Gentle Yoga: Focus on releasing tension, connecting with the breath, and gaining strength, flexibility and a centering of the mind. Watch the video daily and receive 500 bonus steps (limit of one bonus per day).


Social MediaUsing the in-app Facebook and Twitter modules, post a selfie or other pic to show how you are staying well (auto-tagged #AAJMOVE, @JusticeDotOrg). You will receive 250 bonus steps up to 4 times per day by sharing your experience on Facebook and Twitter.

Donation: Visit the World Connect Kitchen site and receive a one-time 1,000 step bonus. (Donations encouraged but not required.)


Step Level Goals: Challenge yourself to reach the following Step Levels set for Week 1 and Week 2. Participants who reach the levels by the end of each week of the Challenge will be entered into the weekly drawings for the indicated prizes, one winner per level each week. Steps may be accumulated both by walking and by earning Bonus Activity boosts (see above).

Week 1. Ends February 4 at 11:59 pm EST

  • Level 1: 55,000 steps (~7K steps/day) Prize: one $50 gift card

  • Level 2: 90,000 steps (~11K steps/day Prize: one $100 gift card

  • Level 3: 175,000 steps (~22K steps/day) Prize: one $150 gift card

Week 2. Ends February 11 at 11:59 pm EST (steps are cumulative from Jan 28)

  • Level 1: 105,000 steps (~7K steps/day) Prize: one $50 gift card

  • Level 2: 165,000 steps (~11K steps/day) Prize: one $100 gift card

  • Level 3: 330,000 steps (~22K steps/day) Prize: one $150 gift card

Top Stepper: The participant with the most cumulative steps at the end of the Challenge will win a $250 gift card.​

Prizes will be announced by email to all participants on Feb 5 (Week 1) & Feb 12 (Week 2 and Top Stepper). Individual winners will also be contacted directly by AAJ.


The Leaderboard below (also available in the app) is refreshed approximately every 10 minutes once the Challenge has started. See the top 25 steppers followed by AAJ Team rankings
