APCO International Walk It Out Challenge

Announcing the APCO 2018 Walk It Out Challenge!  
Participate in some friendly competition amongst your peers as you work your way up the leader board and win prizes at the APCO 2018 Conference & Expo in Las Vegas!
APCO will be giving out free Bluetooth connected step trackers to the first 100 participants that come to the Walking Challenge booth located in the Sands Expo Lobby, Level 2.
The APCO Walk It Out Challenge will start on Sunday, August 5 at 8:30 am PT and end on Wednesday, August 8 at 12:00 pm PT.   Participants can track their steps using their own personal Fitbit, Jawbone, Apple Watch, Garmin, or the step trackers integrated on your iPhone/Android smart phone (i)

1) Download the APCO Walk It Out Challenge app
  • Click here to download the app from the Apple App Store

  • Click here to download the app from the Google Play Store

2) Complete the in-app registration and pairing process

  • Launch the Challenge app and complete registration fields​

  • Pair your supported step tracker (see the Challenge FAQ Webpage for details)

3) Start Walking! 

  • To sync your step data to the app, select "Tap to sync steps" at the top of the dashboard

To support your Challenge goals, visit the following locations daily to scan-in for a step boost:
  • Comtech Safety & Security Technologies Booth, Exhibit Hall Booth #1525= 500 boost steps
  • Think Tank Session Area- Sands Expo Lobby Level 1= 400 boost steps
  • Health & Wellness Session Room, Venetian-Palazzo, Casanova 603, Level 1= 300 boost steps
  • Canyon Ranch Health Club, 4th Floor Venetian Tower= 200 boost steps
  • Professional Development Session Area, Venetian-Palazzo, Level 2= 100 boost steps
Challenge Prizes:
  • Master Stepper: $150 Amazon

  • 3rd place: $50 Amazon

There will be a random drawing on Monday, 8/6/18, and Tuesday, 8/7/18, for all Walking Challenge participants!

 

The Walking Challenge app requires iOS 9.0 and above on the following devices:  iPhone 4S and above, iPad Air, Mini, and 3rd & 4th generation iPads. Android requirements: Android 4.5 and above that have not been customized by the phone-tablet manufacturer. Users may also use their own FitBit, Jawbone or iPhone/Android smart phone step counters.​

To scan:  select the 'Comtech Scan-In' button located on the main dashboard of the Challenge app and then the 'Capture QR Code' link on the scan-in app page.  Simply align the scan-in camera viewer with the QR code and it will be automatically detected and provide you with the results page
