Announcing the APCO 2019 Walk It Out Challenge!
Back by popular demand, come participate in some friendly competition amongst your peers as you ‘walk it out’ and work your way up the leaderboard to win prizes.
APCO will be giving out free Bluetooth activity trackers and sport towels to the first 150 participants that come to the Walk It Out Challenge booth located at the Baltimore Convention Center, Pratt Street Lobby, Level 300.
Step trackers will be available for pick up starting on Saturday, August 10th, at 2:00 p.m. and the Walk It Out Challenge will officially start on Sunday, August 11, at 8:30 a.m. ET and end on Wednesday, August 14, at 12:30 p.m. ET. Participants can track their steps using their own personal Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin or the step tracker integrated on your iPhone/Android smart phone. The Walk It Out Challenge app requires iOS 9.0 and above on the following devices: iPhone 4S and above, iPad Air, Mini, and 3rd & 4th generation iPads. Android requirements: Android 5.0 and above that have not been customized by the phone-tablet manufacturer.
To join:
1) Download the 'APCO Walk It Out Challenge' Walking Challenge App:
2) Launch the App and complete the registration and pairing process:

Launch the Challenge app

Complete the registration fields and pair your supported step tracker (see the Challenge FAQ Webpage for details)
3) Start Walking!

To sync your step data to the app, select 'Tap to sync steps' at the top of the dashboard

Note that your steps will only count from the time you first pair your step tracker
-
Please sync your step data at least one time per 24 hour period and before the Challenge end time to make sure all your steps count!

CHALLENGE PRIZES
The Top Three (3) participants on the final leaderboard will win an Amazon gift card in the value of:

All Challenge participants will also be entered into two (2) random prize drawings:

Drawing #1: Monday, 8/12 at 5 p.m. for 1 water bottle plus a $25 gift card

Drawing #2: Tuesday, 8/13 at 5 p.m. for a small travel bag plus a $25 gift card
Top Three Leaderboard winners will be announced on Wednesday, 8/14 at 1:30 p.m. ET via the Challenge App. Prizes are available for pick up at the Challenge booth between 2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET. If you are unable to claim your prize at that time, your prize will be mailed to you.
The two random drawing winners will also be notified via the Challenge App and can stop by the Challenge Booth to claim their prize.
