Announcing the Annual APCO 2021 Walk It Out Challenge!
Back by popular demand, come participate in some friendly competition with your peers as you "walk it out" and work your way up the leaderboard to win prizes.
APCO will be giving out free Bluetooth activity trackers to the first 150 participants that come to the Walk It Out Challenge booth located at the the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, in the Main Lobby.
Activity trackers will be available for pick up starting on Saturday, August 14, at 2:00 p.m. CT.
The Walk It Out Challenge will officially start on Sunday, August 15 at 8:30 a.m. CT and ends on Wednesday, August 18 at 12:30 p.m. CT.
In addition to supporting the Bluetooth activity trackers provided at the conference, the Walk it Out Challenge App also supports attendees using their own FitBit, Apple Watch, Garmin, or the activity trackers integrated on their iPhone/Android smartphone via Apple Health or Google Fit. *
Join now:
1) Download the "APCO Walk It Out Challenge" app:
2) Complete the registration and pairing process:

Complete the in-app registration process

Pair your supported activity tracker (see the Challenge FAQ for details)

To pair your complimentary activity tracker, please refer to the Custom Tracker Instructions

3) Start Walking:

To sync your step data to the app, select "Tap to sync steps" at the top of the dashboard

Note that your steps will only count from the time you first pair your tracker

Please sync your activity tracker at least one time every 24-hour period and before your Challenge end time to make sure all your steps count!
EARN BONUS STEPS
To help you achieve your Challenge goals, press the "Bonus Activities" selector ** in the Challenge App once the Challenge has started and Scan-In the five (5) QR codes at the following locations to earn daily bonus steps:
1. Comtech Safety & Security Technologies Booth #801 = 500 bonus steps
2. APCO Pavilion Booth #1136 = 400 bonus steps
3. APCO Store, Main Lobby, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center = 300 bonus steps
4. Think Tank Sessions, Location on the Meeting Level (2nd level), Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center = 200 bonus steps
5. Wellness in the ECC Session, Room 221A-C, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, = 100 bonus steps

CHALLENGE PRIZES

The Top Three (3) participants on the final leaderboard will win an Amazon gift card in the value of:

All Challenge participants will also be entered into two (2) random prize drawings:

Drawing #1: Monday, 8/16 at 5:00 p.m CT for (1) $25 gift card, water bottle and wellness kit

Drawing #2: Tuesday, 8/17 at 5:00 p.m. CT for (1) $25 gift card, water bottle and wellness kit
Top Three Leaderboard winners will be announced on Wednesday, 8/18 at 1:30 p.m. CT via the APCO Mobile app. Please stop by the Walk it Out Challenge booth located at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in the Main Lobby between 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. CT to pick up your prize.
If you are unable to claim your prize at that time, your prize will be mailed to you.
The two random drawing winners will also be notified via the APCO Mobile app and can stop by the Walk it Out Challenge Booth to claim their prize.
We kindly ask all the winners to participate in a photo op when claiming the prize. Thank you!
