 Step up to the CIRSE 2019 Wellness Challenge and join in the fun!
CIRSE is proud to offer you a Wellness Challenge which will be running between Saturday, September 7 from noon and Wednesday, September 11 until 13:00.


FREE custom branded Bluetooth activity trackers will be given away to the first 1,350 participants that have registered in the Challenge app. Please stop by the Wellness Challenge Desk (located at the main entrance of the Expo Hall) starting at 08:00 on Saturday, September 7 to pick up your tracker and get help pairing it to the Challenge App.

Participants can also track their steps using their own personal Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, or the step trackers integrated on their iPhone/Android smartphone via Apple Health or Google Fit. (1)

To join:

1) Download the 'CIRSE19 Wellness Challenge' App:


2) Complete the in-app registration and pairing process:

  • Launch the Challenge App, complete the registration fields, and pair your supported activity tracker

3) Start Walking!

  • To sync your step data to the app, select 'Tap to sync steps' at the top of the dashboard
  • Note that your steps will only count from the time you first pair your step tracker
  • Please sync your step data at least one time a day as some data sources will not provide step data that is over 24 hours old



All participants who reach 10K steps by Sunday, September 8 at 14:00 will be entered into a drawing for a free registration to CIRSE 2020 in Munich. Winner to be announced at the BTG booth on Sunday at 15:00.  Must be present to win.

Step Level Prizes - For every 10K steps a participant takes during the CIRSE 2019 Wellness Challenge, they will be entered into a drawing for one of six IR Playbooks.

Final Leaderboard Prize - Top 10 steppers from final leaderboard will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a free registration to CIRSE 2020.

The winners of the final leaderboard and step level prize drawings will be announced via email the evening of September 11.


To help you achieve your step level goals, boost your score by 250 bonus steps per scan of the five QR codes daily using the CIRSE19 Wellness Challenge App at the following hotspots:


1)  Outside the Industry Training Village

2)  By the Society Booths

3)  First Floor: Meeting Room Corridor 

4)  First Floor: Lecture Room Corridor

5)  BTG Booth Educational Theatre Sessions (QR code in lunch bag)

Each Scanning Hotspot has a poster with a QR code which can be scanned to receive a step booster.

Part of the fun is to post selfies of you and/or your colleagues. Post your selfie tweet always using the Challenge App which has the integrated Twitter module. 

  • You can boost your steps with a maximum of 10 tweets over the duration of CIRSE 2019 (that is 2 times a day and 500 bonus steps each tweet)

  • Content you submit, post or display will be viewable by others and may be retweeted

Tap the 'HOTSPOT SCAN' button on the App dashboard and allow the App access to your device’s camera.  Align the App viewer with the QR code. The code will automatically be detected and provide you with a confirmation notice.



Tap the 'SELFIE TWEET' button on the App dashboard to activate the integrated Twitter module. Login to your Twitter account (or create an account if you do not currently use Twitter). Take a photo and post. The photo will automatically be tagged with @BTGIO and #CIRSE19STEP. Once Tweeted, you will receive a confirmation notice.

1. The Walking Challenge app requires iOS 9.0 and above on the following devices:  iPhone 4S and above, iPad Air, Mini, and 3rd & 4th generation iPads. Android requirements: Android 5.0 and above that have not been customized by the phone-tablet manufacturer.​

2. Heka Health, Inc. is committed to respecting the privacy rights of our users and adheres to GDPR.   Please view our Privacy Policy and note that Heka Health is classified as a Data Controller and Data Processor for the Wellness Challenge. BTG, the sponsor of this initiative, does NOT receive any personally identifiable Challenge data. Three (3) days after the end of the CIRSE 2019 Wellness Challenge, Heka Health, Inc. will delete all Challenge data collected.
