HCCA is excited to bring back the Fitness Challenge at this year's 25th Annual Compliance Institute!
Thank you to Protenus for sponsoring this year’s Fitness Challenge. We invite ALL Compliance Institute attendees, speakers and sponsors to participate in one month of healthy and friendly wellness activities with your peers as you get moving and work your way up the leaderboard for a chance to win great prizes!
The Challenge officially kicks off on Tuesday, April 20 at 12:01 a.m. CDT and
ends on Friday, May 21 at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
The HCCA Fitness Challenge app supports participants that use their own personal Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, or the movement trackers integrated on their iPhone/Android smartphone via Apple Health or Google Fit. *

To sync your activity data to the app, select "Tap to sync steps" at the top of the dashboard

Note that your steps will only count from the time you first pair your activity tracker

Please make sure you are actively logged into the Challenge app and sync your step data frequently, at least one time per day, and before the Challenge end time to make sure all your steps count!

BONUS ACTIVITIES
Engage in multiple Wellness activities and earn bonus steps to help you achieve your goals. Once the Challenge has started, press the "Bonus Activities" selector ** in the Challenge App to :
Scan-In: To support your Fitness Challenge Goals, visit the following locations and scan the four (4) QR codes for a step boost on 4/20-4/23:

Gratitude Audio: Take a few minutes out of your busy day and listen to the guided gratitude audio. Be mindful and reflect on things in your life for which you are grateful. You will automatically receive 500 bonus steps at the end of the audio (limit of one bonus granted during the Challenge).
Gratitude Journal: Using the in-app Gratitude Journal, enter 3 things you are grateful for each day to help lower stress and promote calmness in your life. To provide context, we recommend listening to the Gratitude Audio session prior to journaling. You will automatically receive 200 bonus steps for completing your daily journal entries (limit of one bonus granted per day).
Tweet: Using the in-app Twitter module, tweet a selfie to share how you are staying well, engaging with your community and celebrating Earth Day on Thursday, April 22 (including Plogging while staying active). Please follow cleanup.earthday.org to connect with your community and find or create a local event. Selfie-tweets are auto-tagged (@theHCCA, #HCCAci, #plogging, #EarthDay). You will receive 200 bonus steps per day for your selfie-tweets (limit of one bonus granted per day during the Challenge).
Nutrition: Learn about new and easy ways to prepare healthy snacks and meals for the whole family with better ingredients while minimizing added sugar. Led by nutritionist and the best selling author of Half the Sugar, All the Love, these five nutrition sessions will be viewable per the schedule listed below. Receive a one-time bonus of 500 steps for each completed class.

May 2 - May 7: Session 3 - Sweeteners
May 8 - May 14: Session 4 - 3 Colors on Your Plate

FITNESS CHALLENGE PRIZES
Step Goal Prizes: All participants who reach a Challenge Step Goal Level of 75K, 150K, 225K or 300K steps at the end of the Challenge will be entered into a drawing for a prize.
If you reach one of the following step goal levels, you will be entered into the drawing only for that step goal bracket.

300K+ steps – three (3) random winners get $250 Visa Gift Card

225K+ steps – three (3) random winners get $150 Visa Gift Card

150K+ steps – three (3) random winners get $50 Visa Gift Card

Only participants registered for the Compliance Institute are eligible to participate and win prizes. Prize winners will be contacted via the email account provided during the Challenge registration.

The Leaderboard (also available within the app) is refreshed approximately every 10 minutes once the Challenge has started.
