Join the Greystone Heka Walking
Challenge at the HCIC Annual Conference November 5-7, 2018
in Scottsdale, AZ

Participate in some friendly competition amongst your peers as you work your way up the leaderboard and try to exceed the Challenge Step Goals to win prizes!
​
The Challenge will start on Monday, November 5 at 1:30 pm MST and end on Wednesday, November 7 at 11:30 am MST. Participants can track their steps using their own personal Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, or the step trackers integrated on their iPhone/Android smartphone via Apple Health or Google Fit. (i)
 
TO JOIN:

 

1) Download the Heka Walk Challenge app:

 

  • Click here to download the app from the Apple App Store

  • Click Here to download the app from the Google Play Store

 

2) Complete the in-app registration and pairing process:

 

  • Launch the Challenge app and select "Greystone"  from the list of Walking Challenges

  • Complete the registration page

  • Pair your supported step tracker (see the Challenge FAQ Webpage for details)

 

3) Start Walking!

 

  • To sync your step data to the app, select "Tap to sync steps" at the top of the dashboard.   

  • Note that your steps will only count from the time you first pair your step tracker. 

  • Please sync your step data at least one time a day as some data sources will not provide step data that is over 24 hours old

 
Scan the QR Codes located at exhibitor's booths to receive bonus steps each day to support your Challenge efforts! (ii)

QR Codes at exhibit booths are worth 25 bonus steps per booth inside the hall and 35 bonus steps per foyer booth.

  • Reach 5000+ steps by midnight Monday, 11/5 and you will be entered to win an Oster BLSTPB-WOR My Blend 250-Watt Blender (great for smoothies!)

  • Reach 15,000+ steps by midnight Tuesday, 11/6 and you will be entered to win a Yoga Mat 

  • Reach 18,000+ steps by Wednesday, 11/7 at 11:00am and you will be entered to win a Whole Foods Gift Card

(i) The Walking Challenge app requires iOS 9.0 and above on the following devices:  iPhone 4S and above, iPad Air, Mini, and 3rd & 4th generation iPads. Android requirements: Android 4.5 and above that have not been customized by the phone-tablet manufacturer.

(ii) To scan: 

1. Open the Heka Walk Challenge app with the 'Greystone' event

2. Press the                     'Greystone Scan-In' button located on the main dashboard of the Challenge app 

3. Select 'Capture QR Code' (you will need to allow the app access to your device's camera) 

4. Simply align the scan-in camera viewer with the QR code and the code will automatically be detected and confirmed
