Join the 2nd Annual NLA Step Challenge at the 2018 Annual Scientific Sessions Meeting in Las Vegas
​

The Challenge has been graciously supported by Kowa Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. and encourages attendees to engage in healthy activities, some friendly competition, and win prizes.

​

FREE Bluetooth activity trackers will be given out to the first 100 participants that stop by the Step Challenge booth near event registration.  The Challenge booth will open at 12:00p PT on Thursday April 26th.

​

The NLA Step Challenge iOS and Android Apps also supports attendees that prefer to use their own FitBit, Jawbone, Garmin, Apple Watch, or iPhone -Android smart phone step counters. (i)

​

The NLA Step Challenge will start on Thursday April 26 at 3:00p PT and end on Saturday April 28 at 11:00a PT.

TO JOIN:​
1) Download the NLA Step Challenge app

  • Click here to download the app from the Apple App Store

  • Click here to download the app from the Google Play Store

​

2) Complete the in-app registration and pairing process

  • Launch the Challenge app and complete registration fields​

  • Pair your supported step tracker (see the Challenge FAQ Webpage for details)

3) Start Walking! 

  • To sync your step data to the app, select "Tap to sync steps" at the top of the dashboard

​

Scan the QR Codes at the locations below to be entered into the daily Scan-In Giveaway

Goals & Prizes

​

  • Scan-In Giveaway:  using the Challenge app's build-in QR reader, scan the QR codes located at the Kowa Booth (#303) and e-Poster Hall on Thursday 4.26 & Friday 4.27 for a chance to win a daily giveaway of a $50 Amazon Gift Card.

 

  • The NLA challenges all participants to exceed 16,000 steps during this day and a half program in honor of the 16th anniversary of the organization.  Last year we had 33 participants hit 15K steps ... can we beat that?

  • 25K Stepper Prize Drawing:  all participants that exceed 25K steps during the Challenge will be entered into a drawing for a free 2019 NLA Annual Meeting registration.

​

  • 40K Stepper Prize Drawing:  all participants that exceed 40K steps during the Challenge will be entered into a drawing for a FitBit Ionic Smartwatch.​​

​

Results and prize winners will be announced and distributed during the ​NLA/FNLA Business Meeting on Saturday, April 28 at 11:25a PT

The Step Challenge app requires iOS 9.0 and above on the following devices:  iPhone 4S and above, iPad Air, Mini, and 3rd & 4th generation iPads OR Android 4.5 and above that have not been customized by the phone-tablet manufacturer.
