PCMA is excited to announce the PCMA 2018 Education Conference Walking Challenge, in partnership with Destination Cleveland and Heka Health!
Participate in some friendly competition amongst your peers as you work your way up the leaderboard and try to exceed the Challenge Step Goals to win prizes!
The PCMA Challenge will start on Monday, June 11 at 8:00a ET and end on Wednesday, June 13 at 8:00a ET. Participants can track their steps using their own personal Fitbit, Jawbone, Apple Watch, Garmin, or the step trackers integrated on your iPhone/Android smart phone (i)
To join simply:
1) Download the latest version of the PCMA Walking Challenge app from the iTunes or Google Play Store;
> Click here to download the app from the Apple App Store (iOS requires Safari browser)
> Click here to download the app from the Google Play Store
2) Complete the in-app registration and pairing process
> Launch the PCMA Walking Challenge app and complete registration fields
> Pair your supported step tracker (see the Challenge FAQ Webpage for details)
3) Start Walking!
> To sync your step data to the app, select "Tap to sync steps" at the top of the dashboard
Can you hit the Challenge Step Goals of 30K, 40K, and 50K? Hit each Step Goal Level to win different 'Cleveland Swag' prizes.
Also, check out the leaderboard to see if you are amongst the top 5 steppers to be eligible for a drawing for a Return Trip for 2 to Cleveland!
Prizes will be awarded on Wednesday (6/13) 10:30a to 11:00a ET at the Cleveland Booth in the Host City Pavilion
To help reach your step goals, earn 1K bonus steps by following "This is Cleveland" on Instagram (@ThisisCLE), Facebook (facebook.com/ThisisCleveland) or Twitter (@TheCLE) and then stop by the Cleveland booth to show them your “follow”.
There will also be five (5) QR 'scan-in' signs that participants can scan once per day (Mon 6/11 & Tue 6/12) to receive bonus steps (ii)

(i) The Walking Challenge app requires iOS 9.0 and above on the following devices: iPhone 4S and above, iPad Air, Mini, and 3rd & 4th generation iPads. Android requirements: Android 4.5 and above that have not been customized by the phone-tablet manufacturer. Users may also use their own FitBit, Jawbone or iPhone/Android smart phone step counters.
(ii) To scan QR codes:

Open the 'PCMA Walking Challenge' app

Select the 'Cleveland Scan-In' link located on the Walking Challenge dashboard in the app

Select 'Capture QR Code' (you will need to allow the app access to your device's camera)

Align the app viewer with the QR Code

The code will automatically be detected and provide you with the results page
