Join the WEFTEC Wellness Challenge! Enjoy some healthy competition with your peers as you walk, participate, and learn! Earn one point per step and engage in bonus activities to earn a chance to win prizes and work your way up the leaderboard.
Starts on Sunday, October 1 at 12:01 am CT and ends Wednesday, October 4 at 3:00 pm CT. Winners to be announced after the conference and do not need to be present to win.
TO JOIN:
1) Download the "Heka Well" app:
2) Complete the in-app registration and pairing process:

Launch the Challenge app and select the "WEFTEC Wellness" Challenge from the list

Complete the in-app registration process and pair your supported activity tracker

Anyone with a smartphone* can participate and track their steps:

Apple iPhone: select iPhone

Android Phone: Steps tracked by your Phone or the Google Fit app (if installed)

The Challenge app also tracks step data from Fitbit, Garmin and Apple Watch

3) Start Walking!

To sync your step data to the app, select "Tap to sync points" at the top of the dashboard.

Please sync your point data at least one time per 24 hour period and before the Challenge end time to make sure all your points count!

BONUS ACTIVITIES
There are several ways to increase your leaderboard position through participating in Bonus Activities.
Once the Challenge has started, press the "Bonus Activities" selector ** in the Challenge App. Using the in-app Scan-In module, scan the following ten (10) QR codes to receive the bonus points listed below (limit one bonus point scan per each QR code).
Earn 1,000 bonus points by scanning the QR code at these 3 locations:
1) Cradles to Crayons McCormick Place, North Hall B Registration Area;
Monday - Tuesday, October 2 – October 3 |8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Cradles to Crayons provide children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive. Stop by and help assemble hygiene kits that will be distributed to children experiencing poverty in the Chicago area.
2) Zen Yoga McCormick Place, Room S104; Tuesday, October 3 | 7:00 am – 8:00 am
Start the day off with a morning flow to get you energized for your day. Zen Yoga Garage presents Vin/Yin, a hybrid style yoga class, combining traditional Vinyasa poses with longer held, deep stretches to calm the mind, while resetting and realigning the body. Registration is required.
3) Mindfulness Lounge
McCormick Place, Room N231
Sunday – Tuesday, October 1 - October 3 | 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Wednesday, October 4 | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Need a quiet space to decompress, to meditate, or to pray? Visit the lounge for a moment of mindfulness while enjoying comfortable seating and soothing lighting.
Earn 500 bonus points by scanning the QR code at these 7 locations:

CHALLENGE PRIZES ***
Final Top 25: All participants in the Final Top 25 of the cumulative leaderboard will be entered into a drawing for a complementary WEFTEC 2024 registration and a four-night hotel stay in New Orleans.
40K+ Points: earn 40,000 cumulative points during the Challenge to be entered into a drawing for an Amazon $300 gift card.
30K+ Points: earn 30,000 cumulative points during the Challenge to be entered into a drawing for an Amazon $200 gift card.
20K+ Points: earn 20,000 cumulative points during the Challenge to be entered into a drawing for an Amazon $100 gift card.
