Enjoy some healthy fun with your peers and earn chances to win prizes by joining the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) Step Challenge 2026. The Challenge starts Wednesday, March 4 at 5:30 pm MT and ends Friday, March 6 at 6:00 pm MT.
TO JOIN
1) Download the "SSO Step Challenge" app


2) Complete the in-app registration and pair your activity tracker *

Create your own Team, join an existing Team, or select "No Team". Your team can compete against other Teams based on average points. View the Team rankings along with the rankings of your teammates in the Team Leaderboard (minimum of 3 people per team to be qualified to be on the Team Leaderboard)

Pair your activity tracker

Apple iPhone: select iPhone, Apple Watch, Fitbit, or Garmin

Android Phone: select Steps tracked by your Phone (via Health Connect), Samsung Health (requires Samsung Health to be synched with Google's Health Connect), Fitbit, or Garmin

BONUS ACTIVITES
Engage in wellness activities and earn bonus points to help you achieve your goals. Once the Challenge has started, tap the Bonus Activities button at the bottom of the Challenge App and then select the Scan-In option.

Scan-In: earn 1,000 bonus steps per day for scanning the QR codes at the following locations:
1) Registration Desk
2) The Hub
3) TBA

12.5K Prize Goal Level: All participants exceeding the 12.5K+ cumulative step goal will be entered into a drawing for the following prizes: TBA

25K Prize Goal Level: All participants exceeding the 25K+ cumulative step goal will be entered into a drawing for the following prizes: TBA

Final Top 10: All participants that are in the Final Top 10 on the leaderboard, will be entered into a drawing for the following prizes: TBA
You must be registered for SSO 2026 Annual Meeting to be eligible for Challenge prizes. Limit of one prize per participant.
